Day 1 of #Sweetwatermaynia

Day 1 of #Sweetwatermaynia

So many things accomplished today :)

Honey Bees and Flowers Please by Stitching with the Housewives stitched on 14 count Mist Aida from Hobby Lobby.

I used all the called for colors and mounted it to sticky border with Black Stitching Stripes behind it. I used a square wooden frame from Hobby Lobby, item #5895560 to glue the stitching into. On the top there are two neutral bows with a paper flower glued in the middle.

The Wooden houses with paper flowers are something I made for my kids teachers for Teacher Appreciation Day:Bring your teacher a flower. The house is from Michaels in the spring section and I added a piece of scrapbook paper in the middle using mod podge and then made the paper flower using my Silhouette machine. I really like how they turned out and hope the teachers enjoy them as well.

Hello Summer by Primrose Cottage Stitches was stitched on 25 count vintage cloth by Lori Holt using the called for colors. I mounted it to the new green Priscillas Pretty Plaids and then glued that to a fence I purchased from 141 Design Company and spray painted it white.

My WIP for the day was Red, White and Blue by Stitching with the Housewives from last year. I am stitching it on 28 count White with mini blue dot linen. The colors I have picked are: CCW 12 Grain, Little Sprout, Deep Blue Sea, Perfect Pie Crust & Clay Pot; GA Schoolhouse Red, Freedom.

In the pattern there are white flowers which I am going to switch out for another flower from one of their other patterns, stay tuned for more on that.

I worked on Summer Home Mystery SAL with Fat Quarter Shop as well and was able to get the border done. I did end up having to switch the white I was planning for the border to River Rocks so it would show up on my fabric. I am loving how it is looking.

I was able to accomplish a lot today and am excited to see what the rest of the month has in store.
